To the members of the MIT community,
I write to share the sad news of the passing of Amar Bose.
The world knew him as a superb engineer, entrepreneur and executive. Many at MIT also had the pleasure of knowing him as a beloved colleague, mentor, teacher and friend.
To me, he represented the very best of MIT. I will miss him terribly, both his presence and his wisdom. But I know I will continue to be inspired by the memory of his professional brilliance and personal grace.
