An Invitation from President L. Rafael Reif
To the members of the MIT community,
It is my great pleasure to invite you to join in a delightful coming together: MIT’s first Online Commencement.
The program will include a Commencement address given by Admiral William McRaven, salutes from student leaders, an extraordinary community-sourced technical music project, a turn of the Brass Rat, and a chance for all of us to sing along to "Take Me Back to Tech"—please see the website to learn more.
Although forces have scattered our community around the world and we are not able to be together in Killian Court for Commencement, we are committed to holding an in-person graduation event as soon as it is safe to do so.
For now, I hope you will gather with us in spirit on May 29 to celebrate our graduates, honor their remarkable accomplishments and remind ourselves of the MIT we love.
May you be safe and well,
L. Rafael Reif
