To the members of the MIT community:
The tragic school shooting in Connecticut this morning is a terrible reminder to us all of the fragility of individuals and of our daily lives together; our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of those involved.
A horrific event like this touches each of us differently and may affect some among us directly. I encourage you to reach out to those around you to see who might need comfort or counsel. As always, MIT Medical offers expert counseling services. But it is equally important that we take care of each other and feel cared for by each other, as members of one community.
